Terms of Service

Chiya Connect is a social app for tea shops. You make a group with the people you drink tea with, play a game - a quiz, Bagh-Chal, chess, Ludo or Snakes and Ladders - and the app remembers who lost.

It is run by Ek Ra Sunya Inc, Lalitpur, Nepal.

"Loser buys the tea" is a note between friends, not a transaction. Chiya Connect does not take payments, hold funds, transfer money, or settle anything on your behalf. The ledger is a shared record of who owes whom a cup, and it is settled between you, in person, however you choose.

No amount is ever set in the app. Nothing you do here creates a debt anyone can enforce.

You need an account to play with other people. You are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has got in.

You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Some features ask for your date of birth so that age-restricted content is only shown to people old enough to see it.

Do not use Chiya Connect to:

• harass, threaten or impersonate anybody
• cheat at a game, or automate play to move up a leaderboard
• attach real stakes, gambling or money to a match through the app
• break the law where you are

You can report a group name, a review or a player from inside the app. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Checking in uses your location once, at the moment you tap it, to confirm you are at the shop. It is not stored as a location history - see the Privacy Policy.

Places on the map are added by us or suggested by players and reviewed before they appear. A place being listed is not an endorsement of it, and we are not responsible for what happens at a shop.

Reviews, group names and anything else you write stay yours. By posting them you let us show them inside the app to the people they are meant for.

We work to keep Chiya Connect running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. To the extent the law allows, Ek Ra Sunya Inc is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.

Nothing here limits any right you have under Nepali consumer law.

You can delete your account at any time from the app, or at connect.ekrasunya.com/delete-account. We may suspend an account that repeatedly breaks these terms.

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
