Privacy Policy

We collect your email address, to create your account and let friends find you, the display name and username you set, your quiz answers and scores, and the bill amounts you or your friends enter.

If you tap Check in at a tea shop, the app reads your device’s location once and sends it to our server. The server compares it to that shop’s coordinates, works out how far away you are, and then discards your position.

We do not store your coordinates, and we do not keep a location history. What is saved is the shop you checked in at, the date, how many metres away you were, and how accurate your device said the reading was. That is enough to show your check-in streak and to review a check-in that looks wrong; it is not enough to reconstruct where you have been.

Location is only ever read when you tap Check in. The app does not track you in the background, and it never reads your location while it is closed. If you refuse the permission, everything else in the app keeps working - you simply cannot check in.

We do not collect payment details, card numbers, or bank information. Chiya Connect never processes payments. Amounts recorded in the app are notes your group keeps for itself. We do not collect your contacts, your photos, or your location history, and we do not sell or share any of your data with advertisers.

Your password is stored only as a bcrypt hash, never as text we could read. We cannot recover it, and nobody at Ek Ra Sunya can see what you chose. Signing in is handled entirely by our own servers, with no third party involved.

People in your groups can see your display name, your scores, and the ledger entries for those groups. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Email [email protected] to delete your account and data. We remove your account within 30 days of the request. What deletion covers.
